Which military uniform was the most inappropriate for the battlefield

In my humble opinion, the most inappropriate military uniform on the battlefield was by far the one French infantry used at the early battles of World War I. Look at this uniform from the Zhou Dynasty, ancient China. Many might have heard of the French uniforms at the start of WW1 and how it was unsuited for combat.
