Is MultiCam authorized for wear?
DA Civilian personnel may eJect to purchase and wear the Army Combat Uniform (ACU). The MultiCam® is not authorized for wear by civilians. The Nomex Flight Suit is issued and authorized for wear by civilian personnel who travel off base. Uniforms will be worn in a professional manner at all times.
What is the difference between OCP and MultiCam camo?
Whereas the MultiCam® camo features vertical elements called twiglets, OCP has linear, horizontal patterns and no twiglets. U.S. Army soldiers began adopting the OCP pattern in 2015 while the MultiCam® was phased out from official use. The Army, Air Force, and Space Force all wear OCP camo for their uniforms today.
When can you wear a subdued flag army?
AR 670-1, paragraph 19-18 states, “All Soldiers will wear the full-color U.S. flag embroidered insignia on utility and organizational uniforms, unless deployed or in a field environment. Soldiers will wear the subdued tactical flag insignia while deployed or in a field environment.”
How do you wash tactical gear?
Tactical gear like holsters, body armor, gloves, and belts should never be put into a washing machine. Instead, use mild detergent, cold water, and a scrub brush to clean these items and leave them to air dry.
